Today’s vehicles have literally hundreds of metres of electrical wiring. Many of the wiring harnesses will have electrical connectors. Over time, wires become brittle with age and the pins in the connectors are subject to dirt and corrosion. Regular inspection, proper maintenance and early diagnosis of potential electrical problems can save time-consuming breakdowns. If your vehicle won’t start because of a dead battery, it may simply be a sign that your battery has served its useful life. A recurring dead battery may point to a failing alternator or poor connections. A viability test of your alternator is an important step to ensure that it is properly charging your battery.  If your vehicle is displaying potential electric problems the technicians at Kerry’s Car and Truck Centre can diagnose and make repairs before they become a problem.
